Holiday World Show 2012 - Comhaltas Ceoltóirí Éireann

Comhaltas Ceoltóirí Éireann entertained the crowds at the 2012 Holiday World Show Dublin with music, dance, story telling and an abundance of craic.
Throughout the three days of the show there was musicians, dancers and performers at stand AC1. Promoting tourism in Ireland with our programme of Summer Seisiúns’ it proved to be top tapping good fun.
Seisiún’s are stage shows consisting of Irish music, song and dance as well as traditional storytelling and sharing of Irish folklore. The Seisiún’s take place in over 30 locations across Ireland throughout the months of July and August.
Comhaltas Ceoltóirí Éireann is the largest group involved in the preservation and promotion of Irish traditional music. They are a non-profit cultural movement with hundreds of local branches around the world who have been working for the cause of Irish music since the middle of the last century (1951). Gymboree: Play & Music Ireland
Gymboree will be providing regular children's entertainment between 11am-5.30pm on Saturday 28th and from 2pm-5.30pm on Sun 29th in the snack bar to the left of the RDS Simmonscourt.
Northern Ireland Tourist Board
The Northern Irish Tourist Board cooked up a storm at the Holiday World Show Dublin 2011 as they brought along ‘Barney the Chef’ to entertain the crowds.
A make-believe chef from the Titanic and leader of the 'Belfast Bred Tours', was giving tourists a bit of the history of Belfast as well as visiting a variety of food and drink establishments to sample indigenous food and drink.
Shannon Region

On Friday at the Shannon Region stand handed out food samples to visitors to the show. Brian Boru informed visitors about all there is to do and see in the Shannon Region.
On Saturday visitors sampled Mead from Bunratty Winery as well as samples of Co. Offaly Beer ‘Breweyed’. Paddy the Puffin from Doolin to Aran Ferries was on hand to entertain as well the Ballyhoura Mountain Bikers and Brian Boru!
On Sunday visitors were in for more treats as well known East Clare singer and musician Kate Purcell performed with guest Harp, fiddle & tinwhistle players!
There was also be an interactive golf activity with some holiday spot prizes on offer for the best players!! Visitors to the stand also enjoyed delicious food samples from Terryglass Treats.
Each day of the show the Shannon Region stand incorporated an interactive Rugby activity and spot prizes were given to the most accurate.
